What the shit was going on with the weather today. I mean, seriously, what the hell? It's still almost two months until Summer, why on Earth are we getting 30 degree days now. The weather, it's just... wrong.

God, this might end up being a nasty summer. *sighs*

Fandom is being mildly crazy, as always. But I am too lazy to go digging up links. The heat is making me apathetic and sleepy.

Oh, and I put another rec up. Go me.

*goes to lie down. Stupid heat*

Don't worry--it was miserable here all day yesterday and today, so you will get that on the weekend, probably. Weather seems to travel east; we had a couple of warm days early in the week. ;)

Saturday appears to be cooler, judging by dodgy intarweb weather predictions. (And I am well aware of the weather going east thing, which is why Dad always got his rainfall radar faxes from Adelaide)

Wrong indeed - but on the plus side, I was sent home half and hour early from work today because my boss was hot. I don't get it either, but I wasn't going to argue.

Lucky you. I had an astronomy prac, but at least the Physics Building is air cnditioned.

It's still almost two months until Summer

Every now and then I get reminded that not everyone on LJ lives the next state over and my brain goes *ping*...

FWIW, it's unseasonable here too. We've hit the "schizophrenia season" where it's roasting during the days and freezing at night.

Oh, you Northern Hemisphere types, always thinking about yourself...

Someone on my flist just complained about snow. So the weather seems crazy all over.

The heat was actually quite scary today - like you, I'm worried about summer. I had a friend travelling between here and Melbourne today, and he said he lost count of the number of brushfires on the way up.

(Oh, I meant to say I'm probably heading up this weekend to visit a friend at Queens - which college are you at, if you don't mind my asking?)

My Dad's head of the CFA group near my parents place. He may have a busy summer.

I was at International House last year, but I'm not in college this year. Living in teh iPartment. (Sharehouse, yo)

It keeps going from really cold to really warm here. There will be people out sunning one day and then I'm wishing for my wool coat the next. WTF.

Agreement on the crazy weather. It was 40 degrees yesterday in Tasmania. That just doesn't happen *glares at weather and bushfires*

I was really enjoying those two days! (Although it did get uncomfortably hot at points). They were even nice to us and let us not wear lab. coats in biol prac. Unfortunately, we still had to cut up earthworms. *holds nose* Quite olfactorily* unpleasant.

* Damn, I love that word.

Eww, cutting things up. I am reminded why I didn't do biology in school.

From: [identity profile] breo-saighit.livejournal.com

It's really not my favourite part of Biology. Of course, in secondary school, I wasn't about to admit to anyone that the thought of cutting up a rat made me feel slightly (read: very) squeamish. 'Me? Nah, I don't care!' *wibble* Thank God I had tonsillitis and wasn't there that day, is all I can say!
