So, Torchwood's response to all the criticism they've gotten over the break?

Seems to have been, "So, they keep claiming that Torchwood is like fanfic? Well, let's damn well make fanfic"

With all the shippiness, silliness and snarkiness that implies.

It's almost scary how much better Torchwood is when it's willing to totally take the piss out of itself. It's silly as hell, but at least it admits that.

(Also: Need clips and caps and discussion of the series trailer. Especially the Marthatastic bits)

Hey, I found your journal through Life on Martha and I see that you are a fellow Whovian (or whatever we;re called) who goes to Melb Uni. Mind if I add?

As for Torchwood: I have really severe doubts that it can keep up this episodes level of crack - at some point it will try for emotion sincerity and just Fail. Completely. I'm sure it will still be amusing though.

Well, the episodes written by Cath Treggena last series weren't half bad on the emotional stuff, and she has another two coming this series, so it might work. But crack is always of the good.

Crack is always good. Especially with Torchwood. The "Let's all have sex/I thought the end of the world couldn't be any worse" exchange in the series trailer certainly cracked me up.

Crack and Martha pwning all. That's all I ask.
