Semester results out today!

My final results for my subjects in the semester just gone were:
Writing Through Character = H3
Power, Ideology and Inequality = H2A
Research Methods 3 = H2B
Personal and Social Development 3 = H2B

I am grumpy about the writing mark - I should have gotten something higher than a H3, dammit! - but otherwise quite pleased. Especially with the Research Methods mark, given that was the exam that worried me most. 95 percent of the total mark, too.

Must have gone well with guessing what letters to mark. ;)

I shall have to come up with a reward for myself over the weekend.

In other news, Doctor Who made Fandom Wank again. And not about any actual finale spoilers, shock horror. Just someone getting called on calling their photoshoppery "art" and then throwing a tantrum.

You're letting me down, fandom!

Really? 'Cos they are actually based on the British System - H1 is First Class Honours, H2A is Upper Second etc.

It's just instead of applying to the overall degree, we get marked subject by subject.

Actually, I'm rather glad of the absence of finale spoiler-related tantrums on doctorwho. The dissenting opinions from the usual round of grumbling have been kept away from this pit of voles and confined to some interesting journals.

Gah, I'm glad I didn't wade into that post. I liked the color saturation on the image above the cut in that post, but I called it as 'shopped almost at once. At best, there'd been a different background manipped in. Tracery is not original art; PS work may use the name of RL tools but you shouldn't get the two mixed up and then flounce when real artists call you on it. I hope this person learns from this experience.

I'm slightly disappointed. I've seen some amusingly rageful reactions in some LJs, but nothing particularly epic. Though we might get there if people get into the meta on the dodgy feministic issues. Or we might all get bored with the big wait between episodes and it'll get bitchy again.

I am pretty certain I skimmed past, noted that it looked like someone had been busy with the photoshop, and then continued to skim.
