LET THE WANK BEGIN!
Honestly, I'm a little disappointed, but not devastated. Part of the whole fading up on fandom thing, I suppose. But this ought to cause epic wank *gets popcorn*

I've already seen someone angry that they dared to change Doctors.

I look forward to epic wank and hissyfits. And given the whole specials thing, they shall continue for a whole two years until Eleven is in place.

I am "eagerly" awaiting all the "oh good, it leaves Ten as Rose's Doctor *hearts*"

I was more expecting grumpiness from all the people who thought they'd see Ten go off into the sunset with her, so they could write epic romantic adventures set before Eleven came along.

Yeah, it seems really weird to regenerate the Doctor without anyone there who gives a shit and nothing to hook the viewer into coming back now that the popular guy's left.

They're probably still waiting for that to happen. It still could! She could come back again and third time lucky!

If I see anyone saying that, I'll laugh in their face. And point out Billie's ickle baby.

I kind of hope so. I'd like some continuity between eras.

People are apparently convinced taht Tennant is the father of that child. Srsly.

Me too, actually. The fact my interest in Who had been fading recently is a big part of this, mind.

I think it's partly due to the fact that they sort of removed the Doctor's edge a bit in season four. All this "THERE IS NOT HIGHER AUTHORITY THAN ME RAAAR" stuff grated after a bit, and I was dismayed by moments like the Doctor apologising after the "Who do you think made your clothes?" scene in Planet of the Ood. I'll be sad to see Tennant go in the sense that when he was great he was great, but I can't help but feel Ten got a pretty bum deal characterisation-wise towards the end.

I faded on Ten as a character during S3, what with him being a jerk to Martha, and while S4 didn't make it any worse, it didn't repair anything, either.
But you're right: When he was great, he was great, but he was also given a lot of dodgy stuff to do.

Martha. Sitting in a chair, cause Freema's legs would get tired. In an unfurnished room. For thirteen episodes.
Hey, I'd tune in.

I'm there.

That sad, I'm a little disappointed we don't get Ten in a full Moffat season.
