So, tonight [livejournal.com profile] fa11ing_away and I headed down to Crown Cinema, and went and saw V For Vendetta.

And... wow. Just plain wow. This movie was just made of wow. I love love loved it.

The Bloody Wachowskis done good.

We also took a look around the shops there (I bought some chocolate covered coffee beans, to make up for my chocolateless Easter, as well as some other stuff.)

Oh, and today was officially declared Random Saturday. Penguin!

ETA: Tooth and Claw soon. Hurrah!

oh, and i downloaded the original comic

Dude, I am also in need of this. Does Rowden have it at all?

not too sure. They probably do, but given that the movie is out, it's due to be quite popular at the moment and hard to get hold of.

If you want, I can stick it the scans that I got tonight on a CD for you...

the comic is really quite brilliant. There are parts that the film was take straight out of, but there's also different parts of the tale which weren't told in the movie rendition (as is bound to happen) that illustrated the scenary so perfectly that it's a shame they were omitted.
Evie is much, much different (from what I've seen), but the spirit of the story remains true.
I'm only 80% through though, so I'd better get back to it. It's addictive reading ^^,
