The song "Astral Conversations With Toulouse Lautrec" by Ash sounds very dirty. Seriously, I defy you to listen to it and tell me otherwise.

Also, over at [livejournal.com profile] time_and_chips, today is the Doctor Who Research Project due date - or for those not in the know, smut liek whoa. I rather looking forward to the submissions, from the good to the bad to the very ugly. (Hey, nothing is quite so entertaining as bad porn)

There's already been a few entries, some very good, some... not so much. I shall keep an eye on the comm avidly.

I get my hair cut tomorrow. Um, yay?

It is a new pet peeve of mine, I think.

Hee, icon. And the other one is likewise good in an evil way, though I didn't expect any less from the one who recently wrote sonic screwdriver kink.

Lack of foreplay is a crime. Unless we read between the lines and assume that Rose has been prepared for the moment somehow, and the Doctor can switch it on like a light bulb.

It annoys me, too. Especially during long plotty fics, where the last chapter almost always seems to be sex and admission of love.

Also, I have found a fic which uses the phrase "a forest of delights" in reference to pubic hair. Feel free to sporfle.

And lack of foreplay in fics makes me wince, and I have no practical experience whatsoever.

Eek. I don't like finding out that a chaptered fic ends that way. It cheapens the story.

I was about to post you the same reference. *giggle* Humourfic or no, it's still worth the mention.

I also found: "[...]she felt sure she was going to burst open and spill pure energy out." (http://community.livejournal.com/time_and_chips/1977982.html#cutid1)

It probably is good porn, I don't know, but I saw that line and just imagined it like Rose's eyes from PotW.

I have enough practical experience of foreplay, it's the rest of it that I have no experience with. *shakes head* But in fic, there has to me something more than "hello", or I get a tiny bit worried about friction.

The problem is, I've seen it used far too many times, even from otherwise very good authors. It just seems shoved on, you know? It's disappointing.

Oh, that quote of yours... Now I'm imagining Rose's legs opening, and all this bright light ala heart of the TARDIS pouring out.

See, I mightn't have practical experience, but I know how it is supposed to go. And I certainly know what I'd prefer to read.

Yes, it is far too common, and safe. Mind you, even in published fiction, the forced happy ending is rampant.

*giggle* Exactly. And just now, I got another image... of the animation from Meaning of Life, during the Galaxy Song. Similar thing, sort of.

Exactly. And it's better to have it in the story, if just for the buildup, word count, and extra sexiness with senses.

Is that why the Doctor carries sunglasses with him at all times?

But there's one with the word ministrations in it too! Unfortunately it's not the same one, as that would have been pure win.
